Denmark has a railway system that connects virtually every part of the country with Copenhagen. The Danish State Railways run almost all train services except for a few private lines. ‘Lyntog’ are the Express trains and are the fastest in Denmark. Reservations are required for the sleek InterCity (IC) trains and the other major type of train is the Regional (R), which runs slower and only has second class seating.
